Where the Green Grass Grows

Studio life is pretty great. Controllable natural light (well, at least reasonably so — I have yet to figure out how to cast rainbows from the palm of my hand, which is a feat that would undoubtedly come in handy sometimes) temperature controlled climate, mountains of props at our disposal …. it’s definitely not a bad way to go. However, as with all things, sometimes the grass is greener on the other side. This time, it really was. (Literally — there isn’t much grass inside the studio to compete with.)
You may remember the lovely sibling trio from my last blog entry …. photos were largely from the white backdrop we have in studio. That was only half of the story — the ‘happily ever after’ took place on location at the river landing in Osceola, the town in which the studio is located. Here it was heaven …. not only could the kids run around and play with bubbles, balloons, and beach, but the mature and majestic trees served as excellent modifiers of that terribly harsh mid-day light.
Happy kids….happy photographers….it was time for some fun! (And fun we had …. along with a record breaking number of photos! Here are just a few of my favorites at the moment….)
